Bawah Reserve

Remote Indonesia waiting to be explored.

Bawah Reserve is a sustainable resort off ering a spectacular private island experience in Indonesia’s remote Anambas archipelago. Daily rates include spa treatments, island activities (both on land and sea) and exquisite cuisine using ingredients grown in Bawah’s own gardens. With six islands, three lagoons, 13 beaches and 100 hectares of untouched forest, guests have their own natural playground to explore.

Each of the 36 standalone Tented Suites, Bungalows, Lodge and Villas offer the ultimate private island experience. Thoughtfully crafted for earth-conscious individuals and built with locally-sourced materials wherever possible, every minute detail – from classic canopy beds and copper bathtubs to the seamlessly integrated indoor/outdoor living – is designed to evoke that home away from home comfort, while being worlds away.

Each of Bawah’s four restaurants and bars evokes a different rapport with its surroundings, but fresh, local ingredients prepared to perfection is what threads across them. Whether sitting under the gentle sway of the forest canopy or lounging sea-side, the Indonesian meets Mediterranean flavours and concoctions that are inspired by Bawah’s organic farms and fresh catches.

The forests and lagoons around Bawah Reserve offers a host of superb activities – above, below and beyond the waters. Whatever your interests, there’s always more to uncover, explore and enjoy. Aura Spa & Wellbeing is a natural retreat that promises to restore balance to both body and mind. Aura Spa offers a range of rejuvenating treatments specially designed to melt away stress and enhance well-being, from traditional massages to sea salt scrubs every treatment aims to deliver maximum relaxation.
