Amankila

The resort, set against the dramatic backdrop of distant stratovolcano, Mt Agung, is enveloped by lush vegetation and overlooks the Lombok Strait.

Set atop stilts amid the treetops, the thirty four free-standing suites have been fashioned as Balinese beach houses with private outdoor terraces. The suites are very traditional using only Balinese materials such as bamboo, stone, wood and coconut shell.

Amankila’s ocean-view restaurant focuses on locally sourced ingredients. Traditional local techniques are combined with contemporary cooking styles for revitalizing cuisine. Ducks are raised at the resort’s free-range farm, herbs are grown in the garden and cold smoking is done in the smokehouse.

Leisure activities at the resort include a Spa, Bike rental, Yoga and at the Beach Club, a selection of watersports, sailing facilities as well as a dive and snorkel centre.
