ITINERARY

Day 1

WASHINGTON, D.C. ARRIVAL

Welcome to Washington D.C.! After collecting your luggage meet your driver who will transfer you to your hotel, where you will check in and relax for the adventure ahead.

Day 2

AMERICA’S FRONT YARD

Today, you will embark on a 2-hour walking tour of Washington, D.C.'s glorious National Mall.

Your expert local guide will meet you in front of the Washington Monument, and they'll describe how a canal originally ran along the Mall to help transport building materials into the city, as well as how the grass changed from a pasture for sheep to a wooded park. Your guide will point out the various buildings and explain what role they play in the city and the country as a whole, illustrating how America's capital city has changed and evolved over the past few hundred years.

You'll learn about the planning and building of the Capitol and hear about the major monuments and memorials along the Mall – what they stand for, why they were built, and what historical figures or events are associated with them.

At the end of your tour, spend the rest of the day examining the city at your own leisure.

Day 3

D.C. NIGHT MONUMENT TOUR BY BOAT

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure. Take advantage of your hotel's amenities and then explore Washington, D.C.’s extraordinary museums, most of which are free, at your own pace.

In the evening, self-transfer to Georgetown Waterfront Park for a private sunset cruise. Washington, D.C. at night is simply breathtaking, as the monuments glow through the trees and reflect in the calm waters that surround this capital city. Cruise past the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial during this dazzling boat ride aboard an open top boat that offers expansive views. Your captain will point out monument and share fun facts as you enjoy this relaxed touring experience.

At the end of your cruise, continue exploring Georgetown at your pace and then self-transfer back to your hotel.

Day 4

WASHINGTON, D.C. AT LEISURE

Enjoy your day at leisure! With so many museums in the city, choose one for the family to enjoy today. You can also explore Washington, D.C.’s vibrant, distinctive neighborhoods.

Day 5

THE BIG APPLE

Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to Union Station for your train journey to New York City. The ride takes approximately 3.5 hours.

Upon arrival at New York’s Penn Station, make your way to the baggage claim area, where your greeter will be waiting to assist with your luggage before connecting you with your driver. Transfer time is to your hotel is less than 10 minutes. Check in and relax for the exciting adventure ahead!

Day 6

NEW YORK CITY TOUR

Today you will enjoy a half-day New York City tour that will be customized to your interests while providing an overview of the city. Your tour will be tailored to your interests and may include visits to the following neighborhoods:

Chelsea – New York’s premier contemporary art district is home to high-profile collections featured at Gagosian Gallery and Gladstone Gallery, to name a few. The advent of the High Line has also brought more lure to this district as the elevated promenade offers great views of the surrounding architecture and passes through the old loading dock of the former Nabisco factory, which now houses the eateries and shops of Chelsea Market.

Times Square – Times Square is one of the most popular commercial intersections in the world, featuring Broadway and virtually endless shopping and entertainment all day, every day. This tourist destination is the heart of the city that never sleeps.

Central Park – Central Park is the most visited and one of the most filmed locations in the world. This manmade wonder is the first public park built in America and features nearly 50 fountains, monuments, and sculptures, plus 36 bridges and arches.

Day 7

CENTRAL PARK BIKE TOUR AND PICNIC

This morning, self-transfer to Central Park for a private guided bike tour of one of the most famous urban parks in America, followed by a gourmet picnic lunch on the lawn!

Your guide will give you an overview of this iconic park highlighting sculptures, the Bethesda Fountain, the rose garden, and more, as you navigate down a winding paved path and soak in the beauty of this stunning park. You will see various garden projects, ride under canopies of a variety of trees, and get a peak into the Central Park zoo.

After your ride, your guide will lead you to a lawn with a picnic lunch set up just for you. Recline on pillows and take in the city skyline and soak up the sun as you dine on a delicious meal. Once you’re done with lunch, enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 8

NYC AT LEISURE

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure. Explore New York’s many delights at your own pace, taking in such iconic neighborhoods at Soho, the East Village, Tribeca, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, and Harlem. You may even want to head to Brooklyn to explore the hipster delights of Greenpoint and Williamsburg.

Day 9

DEPARTURE

This morning after checking out of your hotel, your driver with pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
