ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrival in San Jose
Upon arrival to San Jose airport , your Tour Manager will meet you after exiting the baggage claim area and will accompany you to meet your driver for your private transfer to your hotel in San Jose

Day 2
Transfer to Tortuguero
Early in the morning, the driver will pick you up at your hotel to take you to La Pavona, the meeting point for the boat that will take you to Tortuguero, your next destination.

Day 3
In Tortuga Lodge
Enjoy the hotel facilities or sign up for some of the activities included such as:

Day 4
Transfer to Arenal
At the coordinate time, you will be transferred to La Pavona/Caño Blanco Dock. Once at La Pavon a driver will be waiting for your private transfer to Arenal.
Arenal’s perfectly symmetrical shape makes it a sightseer’s dream, while its abundance of outdoor activities makes it an easy place to check things off your “must-do in Costa Rica” list. So visit one of the nicest volcanoes in Costa Rica, cloud forests, a lake world-famous for windsurfing and an incredibly diverse population of wildlife is just part of what you will find in this amazing area of Costa Rica.

Day 5
Private Rafting & Cooking Class
Looking for a fun yet gentle rafting adventure from Arenal? Enjoy a half-day trip down the Rio Balsa with exciting but manageable class II–III rapids. Paddle through waves with names like “Magnetic Rock” and “Dredges,” take a refreshing swim midway, and end your ride with a farm-to-table snack at a local ranch.
Next, visit the rural town of Chachagua for a private cooking class in Doña Mara’s kitchen. Learn to make traditional Costa Rican tortillas, picadillo, and her secret chilera, a tangy mix of vegetables, fruits, and chilies in vinegar. Enjoy a homemade meal and take home the flavor of Costa Rica’s culinary traditions.
Day 6
Sky Tram/ Zip Line & Sloth Tour
Soar through the rainforest with breathtaking views of Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. Ride the Sky Tram gondolas smoothly above the treetops for stunning panoramic views, then feel the rush on the Sky Trek zipline circuit, stretching up to 2,000 feet long and 600 feet high. Fly across canyons, over the canopy, and even through the clouds for an unforgettable bird’s-eye adventure built to the highest safety standards.
Then get up close with Costa Rica’s most adorable rainforest residents on this relaxed Sloth Watching Tour near Arenal Volcano. Enjoy a scenic drive with a bilingual naturalist guide who will help you spot both two- and three-toed sloths in their treetop homes. Along the way, keep an eye out for monkeys, toucans, iguanas, and colorful poison dart frogs. Breakfast or snacks are included, depending on the tour time.
Day 7
Transfer to & Night Walk Monteverde
The fastest and best way to Monteverde by far. A bus will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Lake Arenal where a covered boat will be waiting to take you across the lake to Rio Chiquito. A 1 ½ hour scenic ride will take you from here to Monteverde, culminating this transfer of approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Experience one of Monteverde’s best wildlife tours as the forest comes alive at sunset. During this night walk at Curicancha Reserve, watch as daytime animals settle in and nocturnal creatures awaken. Explore the reserve’s lush trails with a bilingual naturalist guide who will share insights into the area’s unique ecosystems, flora, and fauna including the chance to spot the magnificent Resplendent Quetzal.

Day 8
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve tour
A must-visit in Costa Rica, the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve is world-renowned for its biodiversity and conservation efforts. Hike well-marked trails past waterfalls, rivers, and observation points, and keep an eye out for the stunning Resplendent Quetzal. Spanning 3,500 hectares, the reserve encompasses four ecological life zones, home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds, insects, amphibians, and unique cloud forest plants.
Day 9
Transfer to Santa Teresa/Mal País
Just 4 km from Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, the towns and beaches of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa offer a tranquil escape. Popular with European and American travelers, these serene beaches are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty, away from the crowds of busier destinations.
