On the southern coast of the Western Cape this town has earned its fame from the whales who inhabit every year between June and December.
During your trip to South Africa, whale watching is an absolute must, and if you are there during September there is the official Whale Festival week to enjoy. This enchanting seaside village has lots of activities to offer beyond whale watching, if you’re tempted to get up close and personal with a shark then you can go shark cage diving in Walker Bay. Alternatively, you can get the adrenaline pumping by going abseiling or quad biking. While you’re there make sure to enjoy the fresh seafood on a waterfront restaurant.
